How it All Started...
There has been a long tradition of growing things on the Three Oak Winery property. Built on the site of a former nursery, our vineyard continues to work with nature and the land to produce the best wines possible.
Beginning in 2011, Albert Lea natives Jay Enderson and Dan Sorensen envisioned a winery on the outskirts of Albert Lea, Minnesota. They came upon the nursery property and saw the potential for a vineyard. The first grapevines were planted in the summer of 2011, beginning with the varietals Frontenac Gris and Marquette. A former garage and storage area was converted into the production room, and the rest is history! A few years later, the West Vineyard was planted, and the tasting room was completed in spring of 2017.
As Three Oak Winery continues to grow, we remain focused on the goals that started it all: producing great wines and making you feel welcome and relaxed at our Winery.
